Sec. 1103.201. CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE REQUIRED.

(a)A person may not perform an appraisal of real estate unless the person is licensed or certified as an appraiser under this chapter, registered as a temporary out-of-state appraiser under this chapter, or acting as an appraiser trainee under the supervision of a supervisory appraiser.
(b)Unless the person holds the appropriate license or certification, a person may not:
(1)use the title "certified real estate appraiser" or "licensed real estate appraiser"; or
(2)refer to an appraisal performed by the person as a "certified appraisal" or "licensed appraisal."
