Sec. 392.067. VETERANS HOUSING IN CERTAIN COUNTIES.

(a)In this section, "veteran" means a person who has served on active duty in the armed forces of the United States or in the state military forces as defined by Section 437.001 , Government Code.
(b)A county or municipal housing authority in a county with a population of more than 500,000 may borrow money, accept grants, and exercise its powers to provide safe and sanitary housing communities for veterans.
(c)As the authority considers necessary to achieve the purposes of this chapter, an authority may enter into a lease or purchase agreement or accept a conveyance regarding real property as part of a housing project that will benefit veterans.
