Sec. 351.159. DISSOLUTION OF DISTRICT.

(a)After a district has completed all construction, acquisition, and improvement of jail facilities provided in the plans approved by the board and has conveyed those facilities to a receiving county under this subchapter and after all bonds and other indebtedness of the district are paid in full, the district may be dissolved in the manner provided by Subsection (b).
(b)A district is dissolved if:
(1)the board adopts a resolution dissolving the district;
(2)a majority of the commissioners courts of the counties in the district vote to dissolve the district; or
(3)a majority of the registered voters in a majority of the counties in the district vote to dissolve the district in referendum elections.
