Sec. 233.093. PERMIT REQUIRED; EXCEPTIONS.

(a)In a county in which the sheriff regulates alarm systems under this subchapter, a person may not use an alarm system without a permit issued in accordance with this subchapter.
(b)This subchapter does not apply to:
(1)emergency response systems managed by health care facilities licensed by the Texas Department of Health; or
(2)alarm systems installed on:
(A)a motor vehicle;
(B)premises occupied by the United States, this state, or the county; or
(C)premises located in an incorporated area within the county.
