Sec. 152.073. PENALTY.
(a)A person who is a county official and who is in charge of the sheriff's department or is responsible for setting the compensation provided by Sections 152.071 and 152.072 commits an offense if the person violates Section 152.071 or 152.072 .
(b)An offense under this section is punishable by a fine of not less than $10 or more than $100.
(c)Each day on which the county official causes or permits a violation of this section to occur is a separate offense.
