Sec. 143.1095. TRANSFERS IN POSITION IN SAME CLASSIFICATION IN FIRE DEPARTMENT.

(a)The head of the fire department may transfer a fire fighter from one position to another position in the same classification in the fire department if the transfer is:
(1)a promotion or demotion of the fire fighter;
(2)required to balance the work force;
(3)for disciplinary reasons;
(4)based on the seniority of the fire fighter;
(5)a result of a mutual agreement between the department head and the fire fighter; or
(6)for any other specified reason the department head considers necessary.
(b)If the department head transfers a fire fighter under this section, the department head shall designate in a written statement the basis for the transfer.
