Sec. 301.072. ENFORCEMENT OF SUBPOENA; OFFENSE; PENALTIES.

(a)If a person is guilty of contumacy or refuses to obey a subpoena issued by a member of the commission or an authorized representative of the commission, a county or district court, on application by the commission or its authorized representative, may order the person to appear before a member of the commission, the commission, or its authorized representative to produce evidence or give testimony regarding the matter under investigation or in question. Only a court within the jurisdiction where the commission conducts the inquiry or where the person is found, resides, or transacts business may issue the order.
(b)Failure to obey a court order issued under Subsection (a) is punishable as contempt.
