Sec. 982.112. EXCEPTION TO DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT: DEPOSIT WITH OFFICER IN ANOTHER STATE.

(a)The deposit required under Section 982.108 is not required in this state if the deposit required by that section has been made in any state of the United States, under the laws of that state, in a manner that secures equally the policyholders of the company who are citizens and residents of the United States.
(b)An alien insurance company that desires to meet the requirements of Section 982.108 as provided by Subsection (a) shall file with the department a certificate of the deposit. The certificate must be signed by and under the seal of the officer of the state with whom the deposit was made.
