Sec. 462.211. CLAIMS NOT COVERED: LATE FILED CLAIMS.

(a)Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter or any other law to the contrary, and subject to Subsection (b), a claim that is filed with the association on a date that is later than 18 months after the date of the order of liquidation or that is unknown and unreported as of the date is not a covered claim.
(b)This section does not apply to a claim for workers' compensation benefits governed by Title 5, Labor Code, and the applicable rules of the commissioner of workers' compensation.
