Sec. 754.0231. INSPECTIONS AND INVESTIGATIONS.

(a)Except as provided by Subsection (b), the department may conduct an inspection or investigation of equipment regulated under this chapter in accordance with Chapter 51 , Occupations Code. The department shall be granted access to any location in the building that is inaccessible to the public in order to conduct a full inspection or investigation of the equipment.
(b)If there is good cause for the executive director to believe that equipment on the property poses an imminent and significant danger or that an accident involving equipment occurred on the property, the executive director or the executive director's designee may at any time enter the property to inspect the equipment or investigate the danger or accident.
