Sec. 361.031. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.

(a)The commission may administer and spend state funds provided to the commission by legislative appropriations, or otherwise, to make grants to local governments for:
(1)solid waste planning;
(2)installation of solid waste facilities; and
(3)administration of solid waste programs.
(b)The grants made under this chapter shall be distributed in a manner determined by the commission.
(c)The amount of financial assistance granted by the state through the commission to a local government under this chapter must be matched by local government funds at least in equal amounts.
