Sec. 31.034. APPEAL FROM LOCAL ELIGIBILITY OFFICES.
(a)An applicant for or recipient of financial assistance authorized by this chapter may appeal to the commission an action or failure to act by a local eligibility office relating to the financial assistance. The commission shall grant the applicant or recipient an opportunity for a hearing after reasonable notice.
(b)An applicant or recipient, or his or her authorized agent, may submit a written request for the information contained in the records of the local eligibility office on which the action being appealed is based, and the local eligibility office shall advise the person making the request of the information within a reasonable time prior to the hearing.
