Sec. 501.096. REENTRY PROGRAM FOR LONG-TERM INMATES.

(a)The institutional division shall establish a program to assist inmates that have served long terms in preparing for their release from the division.
(b)In order to participate in the program established under this section, an inmate must:
(1)be serving a sentence of 30 years or longer;
(2)be within one year of the date projected for release;
(3)volunteer for participation in the program; and
(4)be approved for participation in the program by the institutional division.
(c)The institutional division shall provide to participating inmates academic and vocational education, employment counseling, and individual therapy. Services provided under this subsection must be designed to address the special needs of inmates who have served
