Sec. 493.020. SEAL OF DEPARTMENT.
(a)The department shall use an official seal to certify documents received by the department under Sections 8(a) and (c), Article 42.09 , Code of Criminal Procedure.
(b)The official seal must contain an engraved, five-pointed star in the center with the words "Texas Department of Criminal Justice" around the margin.
