For expiration of this section, see Subsection (c). Sec. 419.0471. EXTENSION TO COMPLY WITH COMMISSION STANDARDS.

(a)A fire department may request an extension from the commission to comply with the minimum standards adopted under Section 419.047 . The commission shall grant a request for an extension if the fire department provides evidence the commission finds sufficient to justify the extension.
(b)The commission shall adopt rules necessary to implement this section.
(c)This section expires September 1, 2027.
