Sec. 30.01547. JOINT COURT: JUDGES.

(a)Notwithstanding any other law, a joint municipal court of record created under Section 30.01546 is presided over by a municipal judge or alternate municipal judge who is appointed by a majority vote of each of the governing bodies of the contracting municipalities for a two-year term.
(b)The judge of a joint municipal court of record may be removed from office as provided by Section 30.000085 by the governing bodies of the contracting municipalities at any time for incompetency, misconduct, malfeasance, or inability to perform the tasks of the office.
