Sec. 26.343. WICHITA COUNTY.

(a)The County Court of Wichita County has general criminal jurisdiction, the general jurisdiction of a probate court, and juvenile jurisdiction as provided by Section 26.042 (b) but has no other civil jurisdiction except as prescribed by Subsection (b).
(b)The county court has jurisdiction over cases involving child neglect or dependency proceedings and may punish contempt growing out of or ancillary to those cases if the county judge:
(1)has the qualifications required of a district judge; and
(2)is designated by the Wichita County Juvenile Board as judge of the juvenile court.
(c)With the county judge's approval a district court in Wichita County may transfer to the county court a case involving juvenile delinquency, child neglect, or dependency proceedi
