Sec. 261.3023. LAW ENFORCEMENT RESPONSE TO CHILD SAFETY CHECK ALERT. If a law enforcement officer encounters a child or other person listed on the Texas Crime Information Center's child safety check alert list, the law enforcement officer shall follow the procedures described by Article 2A.056 , Code of Criminal Procedure. Reenacted and amended by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 324 (S.B. 1488 ), Sec. 7.006 , eff. September 1, 2017.
