Sec. 85.70. CERTAIN MINERAL LEASES; DISPOSITION OF MONEY; SPECIAL FUNDS; INVESTMENT.

(a)Except as provided by Subsection (c), all money received under and by virtue of this subchapter shall be deposited in a special fund managed by the board to be known as The Texas A&M University System Special Mineral Investment Fund. Money in the fund is considered to be institutional funds, as defined by Section 51.009 , of the system and its component institutions. The special fund may be invested so as to produce income which may be expended under the direction of the board for the general use of any component of The Texas A&M University System, including erecting permanent improvements and in payment of expenses incurred in connection with the administration of this subchapter.
