Sec. 85.64. PROTECTION FROM DRAINAGE. In every case where the area in which oil, gas, sulphur, mineral ore, and other minerals sold shall be contiguous or adjacent to lands which are not lands belonging to and held by the university system, the acceptance of the bid and the sale made thereby shall constitute an obligation on the owner to adequately protect the land leased from drainage from the adjacent lands to the extent that a reasonably prudent operator would do under the same and similar circumstances. In cases where the area in which the oil, gas, sulphur, mineral ore, and other minerals are sold is contiguous to other lands belonging to and held by the university system which have been leased or sold at a lesser royalty, the owner shall likewise protect the land from drainage from t
