Sec. 51.333. COLLEGE READINESS ASSESSMENT REQUIRED.
(a)An institution of higher education shall, using an assessment instrument designated by the board under Section 51.334 , assess the academic skills of each entering undergraduate student to determine the student's readiness to enroll in freshman-level academic coursework.
(b)An institution of higher education may not use the assessment required under this section or the results of the assessment as a condition of admission to the institution.
