Sec. 39A.151. SOLICITATION OF PROPOSALS FOR ALTERNATIVE MANAGEMENT.

(a)If the commissioner orders alternative management of a campus under Section 39A.107 , the commissioner shall solicit proposals from qualified nonprofit entities to assume management of the campus or appoint a school district as provided by Subsection (b). The commissioner may solicit proposals from qualified for-profit entities if a nonprofit entity has not responded to the commissioner's request for proposals.
(b)The commissioner may appoint a school district to assume management of the campus if the district:
(1)is not the district in which the campus is located; and
(2)is located within the boundaries of the same regional education service center as the campus.
