Sec. 39.0534. ACCOUNTABILITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE.

(a)The commissioner shall establish an accountability advisory committee to advise the commissioner and the agency regarding the adoption and modification of performance standards and indicators required under this chapter. The committee must meet at least once during the year preceding the school year for which the commissioner proposes to modify the performance standards under Section 39.053 (f-1).
(b)The committee must include:
(1)a staff member from the office of the governor;
(2)a staff member from the office of the lieutenant governor;
(3)a staff member from the office of the speaker of the house of representatives;
(4)a staff member from the office of each chair of a standing legislative committee with primary jurisdiction over
