Sec. 37.221. FACILITIES STANDARDS REVIEW.

(a)At least once every five years, the center shall review the facilities standards for instructional facilities adopted under Section 7.061 and make recommendations to the commissioner regarding any changes necessary to ensure that the facilities standards:
(1)reflect best practices for improving school safety through the design and construction of school facilities; and
(2)are consistent with standards adopted under Chapter 469 , Government Code, regarding the elimination of architectural barriers.
(b)The center and commissioner may consult with stakeholders with relevant expertise regarding whether any updates to requirements for the use of funds granted or allocated to school districts for purposes of improving the safety and security of sc
