Sec. 12.0532. NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL.
(a)A charter granted under this subchapter for a campus may, as determined by the board of trustees of the school district granting the charter, provide for the campus to be a neighborhood school.
(b)Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, the principal or equivalent chief operating officer of a neighborhood school shall manage the funding provided for the school under this code and any other funding provided for the school in the manner the principal or other officer determines best meets the needs of the school's students. The district in which the school is located may retain that portion of funding that the district generally withholds from a campus for costs associated with the salary of the district superintendent or other district govern
