Sec. 111.39. ACQUISITION AND DISPOSITION OF LAND. The board may acquire by purchase, donation, or otherwise, for the use of the University of Houston System or any institution or entity under the governance, control, jurisdiction, and management of the board, any land and other real property necessary or convenient for carrying out the purposes of state-supported institutions of higher education. The board may sell, exchange, lease, or otherwise dispose of any land or other real property owned by or acquired for the board or any of the system institutions and entities. The proceeds from any sale of land or other real property shall be added to the capital funds of the board or the system institutions or entities.
