Sec. 1001.453. DISTRIBUTION OF WRITTEN INFORMATION ON DRIVING SAFETY PROVIDER.

(a)A person may not distribute within 500 feet of a court with jurisdiction over an offense to which Subchapter H , Chapter 45A , Code of Criminal Procedure, applies written information that advertises a driving safety provider.

(b)The department may revoke the license of a driving safety provider if the provider or the provider's agent, employee, or representative violates this section.

(c)This section does not apply to distribution of information:

(1)by a court; or

(2)to a court to advise the court of the availability of the course or to obtain approval of the course.

(d)Subchapter F , Chapter 51 , Occupations Code, and Section 51.353 , Occupations Code, do not apply to a violation of this section or a r
