Sec. 140A.111. PREVIOUSLY SEIZED ASSETS. Notwithstanding another provision of this chapter, no remedies provided by this chapter may be assessed against proceeds, contraband, or other property over which a law enforcement agency has previously asserted jurisdiction under Chapter 59 , Code of Criminal Procedure, at the time a suit under this chapter was filed. Transferred, redesignated and amended from Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Section 140A.013 by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 685 (H.B. 29 ), Sec. 7, eff. September 1, 2017.
