(a)The commissioner of finance and administration is directed to submit, no later than one hundred twenty (120) days after May 24, 2019, to the federal centers for medicare and medicaid services a waiver or waivers pursuant to Section 1115 of the Social Security Act for the purpose of establishing a distinct Katie Beckett program. The Katie Beckett program must be designed in consultation with the commissioner of disability and aging and must be administered in accordance with this section. It is the intent of the general assembly, that subject to approval by the centers for medicare and medicaid services, the Katie Beckett program be composed of two (2) parts as described in subsections (b) and (c); provided, however, that if the centers for medicare and medicaid services only approves o
