Text

(a)A governmental entity may regulate entry into the business of providing passenger transportation service, including, but not limited to, limousine, sedan, shuttle, entertainment transportation, and taxicab service.
(b)As used in this section, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)"Entertainment transportation" means a motor vehicle that is designed or constructed to accommodate and transport a number of passengers for hire, the principal operation of which is confined to the area within the corporate limits of cities or counties and the suburban territory adjacent to the cities or counties, whether it is operated on a fixed route or schedule, and where the passengers hire the motor vehicle not only as a means of transportation but also for some entertainment or social purpose.
