Text
It is the policy of the state to:
(1)Promote the safety of persons and property in and connected with the use of vessels;
(2)Achieve, so far as practicable, uniformity of laws, regulations, requirements, procedures and methods with respect to the numbering, operation and equipment of all vessels subject to this chapter;
(3)Foster the development, use and enjoyment of all the waters of Tennessee; and (4) Attain the fullest possible cooperation of the various agencies of this state, the neighboring states and the federal government in connection with assistance and rescue operations, in the enforcement of laws and regulations, and in the education of the public as these activities relate to recreational boating safety.
