§ 68-5-607 — Violations - Penalties - Enforcement

(a) (1) Any person who misrepresents any of the facts called for by the serological examination, or who in any way alters the determination of a serological examination, commits a Class C misdemeanor. (2) It is the duty of the district attorney general to prosecute the suit when requested by the commissioner, the county health officer or local board of health. (b) Any physician or representative of a laboratory who willfully and knowingly misrepresents, falsifies, or issues false information under this part commits a Class C misdemeanor. (c) It is the duty of the district attorney general in whose jurisdiction an offense is committed to institute proceedings against violators of this part. (d) It is the duty of the commissioner to give all assistance necessary for the enforcement of this part to the district attorney general representing the county in which proceedings may be instituted.
