Text
All petroleum underground storage tanks shall at a minimum:
(1)Prevent releases due to structural failure for the operational life of the tank;
(2)Be cathodically protected against corrosion, constructed of noncorrosive material, steel clad with a noncorrosive material, or designed in a manner to prevent the release or the threatened release of any petroleum substance; and (3) The material used in construction or lining of the tank shall have compatibility between the substance stored in the petroleum underground storage tank and the interior of the petroleum underground storage tank.
