§ 63-19-202 — Licensure requirement

Tennessee·Title 63
(a)A person shall not claim to be or function as an orthopedic physician assistant unless the person holds a valid orthopedic physician assistant license issued by the board.
(b)The board shall not license a person as an orthopedic physician assistant or renew the license of an orthopedic physician assistant unless:
(1)(A) The person is a graduate of an orthopedic physician assistant training program approved by the board;
(B)The person has successfully completed the examination of the National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Physician Assistants; and (C) The person was performing services as an orthopedic physician assistant in this state on January 1, 2021; or (2) The person was performing services as an orthopedic physician assistant in this state on or after January 1, 2021,
