Text

The purpose of this part is to:

(1)Regulate the drilling of mineral test holes in order to prevent the pollution of potable water resources, both surface and subsurface, as the result of the introduction of undesirable substances, including natural brines, oil, gas, or mineralized waters through the process of the drilling of mineral test holes; and (2) Provide basic geologic data to the state relating to oil, gas and water occurrences.
