Text
(a)A distinctive license plate is authorized for any person who is a retired firefighter, if the person is currently a resident of this state, is otherwise qualified to register and license a motor vehicle pursuant to this title, and submits proof of former membership in a firefighting unit from which the person is a bona fide retired member in good standing.
(b)The registration plates must bear the legend "Retired Firefighter".
(c)The registration plate must be issued upon payment of the regular registration fee pursuant to this chapter and an additional fee equal to the cost of actually designing and manufacturing the plates, and submission of information in accordance with subsection (d).
