Text

(a)The department of revenue shall create and implement an electronic database or online platform that, on and after July 1, 2025, allows a police department or another user to input abandoned, immobile, or unattended vehicle information for public notice to be made through the motor vehicle portal as required by § 55-31-302(c) .
(b)On and after July 1, 2025, the department of revenue may charge a police department or another user of the portal a fee to cover the cost of creating and administering the motor vehicle portal created pursuant to this section.
(c)The commissioner of revenue is authorized to promulgate rules to effectuate this section. The rules must be promulgated in accordance with the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, compiled in title 4, chapter 5.
