§ 49-7-2017 — Fines, penalties and enforcement

(a)(1) A person, group, or entity, or any owner, officer, agent, or employee of a person, group, or entity, that violates a provision of this part or the rules promulgated pursuant to this part is subject to a civil penalty not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) for the violation.
(2)Each day's failure to comply is a separate violation.
(3)The fine may be imposed by the commission, as otherwise provided for in this part, or by a court of competent jurisdiction.
(b)(1) Any person, group or entity, or any owner, officer, agent or employee of any person, group or entity, that willfully violates § 49-7-2007 or willfully fails or refuses to deposit with the commission the records required by § 49-7-2016 , commits a Class C misdemeanor.
