§ 49-7-2011 — Complaints against institution or agent

Text

(a)(1) A person claiming damage or loss as a result of an act or practice of an authorized postsecondary educational institution or its agent, or both, that is a violation of this part or of the rules promulgated pursuant to this part, may file with the commission a verified complaint against the institution or against its agent, or both. A student who files a complaint pursuant to this subsection (a) must first exhaust the grievance process at the institution.
(2)The complaint must set forth the alleged violation and must contain any other information required by the commission.
(3)The commission may open a complaint at its discretion or upon a request from the attorney general and reporter whenever it appears to the commission that a person, agent, group, or entity is, is about to, or
