To ensure compliance with the United States supreme court's ruling in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc.

v.President and Fellows of Harvard College , 600 U.S. 181 (2023), the office of the comptroller of the treasury shall include in any audit conducted by the office of the board of trustees of the University of Tennessee system, the board of regents of the state university and community college system, or a local governing board of trustees of a state university an examination into whether each institution governed by the respective board is complying with the equal protection provisions of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article XI, § 8 of the Constitution of Tennessee in the institution's admission program and practices.
