Text

(a)Subject to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations, and upon the request of the commission, each public elementary and middle school, or each LEA on behalf of the schools, shall provide information to the commission or department of education about the financial literacy education provided to public elementary and middle school students during the school year.
(b)As used in this section, "public elementary and middle school" means an elementary school or middle school, as those terms are defined in § 49-6-301 , located in this state, including a public charter school that serves comparable grade levels.
