(a)Each entity of state government that is subject to the requirements of Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 ( 20 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.), and regulations promulgated pursuant to Title IX, shall develop a Title IX implementation plan with participation by protected beneficiaries as may be required by such law or regulations. To the extent applicable, such plan shall include Title IX implementation plans of any subrecipients of federal funds through the state entity. Each such entity of state government shall submit annual Title IX compliance reports and implementation plan updates to the department of audit by October 1, 2008, and each October 1 thereafter.
