§ 4-14-105 — Department of economic and community development - Duties

It is the duty and function of the department of economic and community development to: (1) Promote in a sound manner the location of additional industries and businesses in the state, to utilize the state's resources to the best advantage and to increase employment opportunities for all elements of the state's population; (2) Aid and encourage the existing industries of the state; and (3) Cooperate with existing state and federal agencies and local governments and agricultural, business, industrial and educational interests of the state in promotion of industrial development in this state.
