Text
(a)Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, all applications for professional licenses, driver licenses, occupational licenses, hunting and fishing licenses or recreational licenses, or marriage licenses issued by any agency or any political subdivision of the state on and after July 1, 1997, shall contain the social security number of each applicant.
(b)If the agency or office maintaining the records described in subsection (a) allows the use of a number other than the social security number on the face of the license document, and the social security number obtained on the application is kept on file with the agency or office, the agency or office shall so advise the applicant.
