Text

(a)The department shall not require an individual or members of the individual's household to undergo an immunization as a condition of adopting unless the child is under eighteen (18) months of age or has significant documented medical needs that would necessitate the caregiver or members of the caregiver's household being immunized.
(b)If an individual or member of the individual's household objects to an immunization on the basis of religious or moral convictions, then the exceptions in subsection (a) must not apply and the department shall not require the individual or member of the individual's household to undergo any immunization as a condition of adopting.
