Text

(a)Any mass mailings, including surveys and newsletters, that a member of the general assembly sends to persons in the member's district within thirty (30) days of any election in which the member's name appears on the ballot shall be paid from non-state funds.
(b)For purposes of subsection (a):
(1)"Election" does not include any early voting period; and (2) "Mass mailing" means more than two hundred (200) pieces of substantially similar material mailed within a seven-day period, but does not include a form letter or other mail that is sent in response to an unsolicited request, letter or other inquiry.
