Text
Authorized expenses of health maintenance organizations include:
(1)Cash rebates to enrollees, or to persons who have made payments on behalf of enrollees;
(2)Free or reduced cost health service to enrollees; or (3) Payments to providers or other persons based upon the efficient provision of services or as incentives to provide quality care.
