The provisions of §§ 5-7-3 , 5-7-4 , 5-7-4.1 , , 5-7-8 , and 5-7-16 shall not apply to oil and gas, or geothermal resources, and shall not apply to lands sold prior to the reservation of such coal, ores, asphaltum, metals, minerals, and other metallic and mineral products.
