§ 46A-4-81 — Dissolution of district--Petition by majority of assessment payers--Calling of election by board--Notice of election.

South Dakota·Title 46A WATER MANAGEMENT·Ch. 46A-3 ORGANIZATION, BOUNDARIES AND DISSOLUTION OF IRRIGATION DISTRICTS
If a majority of the assessment payers, representing a majority of the number of acres of irrigable land within any irrigation district, petition the board of directors to call a special election for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the irrigation district a proposition to vote on the discontinuance of the irrigation district and a settlement of its bonded and other indebtedness, the board of directors shall call an election, setting forth the object of the election. The board shall publish a notice of the election in some newspaper in each of the counties in which the district is located, and in which a newspaper is published, for a period of thirty days before the election, setting forth the time and place for holding the election in each of the voting precincts in
