Text

In order to dissolve a water development district, a petition of dissolution must be filed with the Board of Water and Natural Resources. The petition must be:

(1)Signed by eligible voters of the district, equal in number to at least fifteen percent of the votes cast in the district during the most recent gubernatorial election; and (2) Filed with the Board of Water and Natural Resources on or before the first Tuesday of July, immediately preceding the general election. Upon receipt of a petition in accordance with this section, the Board of Water and Natural Resources must refer the question to the voters of the district, at the next general election.
